Welcome to Plants Direct Garden Centre, Hertfordshire
Plants Direct is a family run Garden Centre in Hertfordshire supplying the public with quality plants grown in our nurseries, including high quality roses and our award-winning hanging baskets; all at very reasonable prices.
We specialise in bedding and patio plants, herbaceous perennials, herbs, climbers, shrubs, alpines, and fruit. We also stock trees, conifers, heathers, and larger specimen plants sourced from around the country.
Our garden centre is situated between Radlett and Watford with a customer base in Hertfordshire and North London. We produce the majority of our plants in our nurseries, ensuring our plants are sustainably sourced. Other plants not from the nurseries are carefully sourced and selected from our associate nurseries.
Wherever possible, Plants Direct Garden Centre uses reduced peat compost and minimises chemical pesticide and fertiliser input, utilising organic fertilisers such as Maxicrop and natural pest control.
We are a member of the Horticultural Trade Association (HTA).
We sell and accept National Garden Gift Cards.

Happy New Year!
We are celebrating 30 years of trading at WD25 8BQ (We must be doing something right!)
Jobs to be done in the garden during the winter:
- Prune roses, fruit trees and shrubs while dormant.
- Apply manure to your beds; dig or fork over your borders but not when it is frosty.
- Sow sweet peas and later on vegetable seeds.
- Have a good clean up of fallen leaves etc and compost them.

We are currently supplying rootball and bareroot shrubs and hedging. This is a cost effective way of starting off a hedge / plant screen.
